Genin: Genin are the largest group, but also the weakest, and you have a 100 percent chance of getting approved.

Chuunin: Chuunin are a medium sized group and are the second weakest, known as the journeymen you have a 85 percent chance of being approved at this rank.

Jounin: Jounin are one of the stronger easily reached ranks, they are smaller, only having one jounin per every group of genin. Meaning the chances of you being chosen for this rank are very slim, around 1 to every 3 genin. Jounin are only picked when there is a free group of genin.

Special Jounin: Special Jounin are a freer class of jounin, they tend to have less responsibility but have less power. They get picked more often with have a 75 percent chance of being chosen.

ANBU: ANBU are generally the stronger class of shinobi and are only appointed by kages, you may not register directly as an ANBU unless you have the kages permission already.

ANBU Black Ops: The higher version of ANBU, these once again can only be picked by the kage, and voted in by other black op members. They are highly secretive and only go by their codename.

Sannin: Three legendary nin of the village, they are the second strongest and are the second hardest to reach. They occasionally take on students and teach the sage arts to their apprentice. You can only become a sannin by defeating and removing the previous one or by being appointed by the kage of the village.

Kage: The most powerful person in the village, but also the most tedious. They have the job of giving out missions and occassionally teaching students. Kages can be applied for, ONLY when there is no current kage. To become Kage you must either succeed the previous one or defeat the previous one.
